Beautiful place to spend some time with family. You can climb up in couple of ways. One pathway is little easier and bit flat and the other one is quiet steep to go up but shorter. Once you at the top of the bridge you can choose to go back following the same path or just cross the bridge and there is place with little steps to come down following a moderate hike to come down. Just be careful as it is little hard to balance in few places so try to hold tree branches. Stunning views of dam and water flow at the top. At the other side of the bridge there is also a samll parking area for the cars so if you park there then the bridge is right there in front of you so you can save hiking one way.

Croton Gorge Park is absolutely breathtaking. It’s so refreshing looking down at the flowing water fall. We were fortunate enough to witness the sunset and that was an extremely gorgeous view. This place is a must go!

Fantastic place! We all were mesmerized with the views, and nature even now is still winter. Ideal for kids, for adults, for anyone who loves nature and its beauties. The scenic falls are just stunning! Ideal for a day break in a weekend. Hiking is also nice here! It'a must and just 1 hr away from New York. The bottom level has just amazing views as the top. Make sure you visit both spots, and walk the bridge above. We all loved it here!

One of the most stunning places in the state, simply put. This dam was built nearly 180 years ago and used to supply NYC with its water, until the City's population grew too large. The architecture is incredible. The minute you drive across the little bridge and set eyes on it for the very first time, you feel like you are in the presence of something very special. Come check it out! Note: there are two entrances. The south entrance will take you to the park at the base of the wall, and the north entrance will take you to the top, where you can see the reservoir.

Not $10 dollars for parking
I am curious what you sound! Is it a commemorative coin? When the new Croton dam was completed in 1897 it was the tallest dam in the world! The dam creates the reservoir the supplies drinking water to New York City, it is also the centerpiece of a beautiful Park and trail system. Perhaps you can do an internet search of the new Croton Dam to find out more, or contact the Croton Historical Society. Good luck!
According to the parks website: Park hours: Open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to dusk, year-round. I was there last Sunday 10/11/2020 and it was open with free parking and an employee there guiding people where to park. The park was open then even though Google maps said it was closed. Google was wrong.
This month 9 am to 8.30pm From Next month 9 am to 5 am . Thanks
The park and parking is open on weekends. Its not closed. They need to update the information in google.
There was no entrance fee last we went. Plenty of parking space!
