I have a cocker spaniel that is about 9 years old. She has had diarrhea for about 4 days. She is eating and drinking. Does she need to be seen or is there something that I can give her?

They will take really good care of your pet and they are very understanding.

Well, there is always 'the boot'! But seriously, your husband is probably right to have her seen by a vet professional since it has been 4+ days of consistent diarrhea. An Ova/Parasites stool exam may be in order. Also consider a bland diet of parboiled plain rice and boiled chicken. No treats, biscuits or extras especially 'people foods'. Maintain her in an area easily cleansed and also consider quarantining her food and water dishes so the other dogs cannot become ill. Call for an appointment!!!!
