I've never had a problem eating there!
This is a very busy location and is always over crowded. The staff here at this location are not the most skilled, even though it's only a McDonald's. I'm sure, due to being sooo understaffed and constantly overwhelmed, the employees are possibly justified as coming across as rude to their customers at times. This could vary well be the reason for the degrade to the quality of the food also. This is not a good excuse for bad service, nor does it by any means make it okay. This location does in fact need improvement, both in capacity, and in training of staff. A lack of better planning, management and leadership is surely why your visit here was not up to par. Not to mention it was most likely very busy at the time of your visit.
I never had a problem there, too.
