If you pay the $5 to park for a day or $40 for a year at the ramp, I don't see how anyone could say anything. The $40 is good for both Brown's bridge and oppossum creek camping area.
That is a very good question, i have seen people that fishing along the shore line close to the public boat ramp and across the road were the lake goes under the bridge that is also public, i not seen any sign s that restricted public fishing but maybe best to check with camping area host or TWRA officier if not sure. It may just be that the camping area does not want anyone inside that area unless you are staying there. Of course, TVA owns the shoreline along the lakes and rivers. Hopefully this points you in the correct direction. Best regards, Don Blaylock
The boat ramp is not just for campers.
