I am wanting to get together there with some friends for my husband’s birthday. I had invited less than 50 people and I’m sure only half of that or less will actually be able to come. Do I need to schedule event or is it like D&B where people show up

I agree with the previous answer I think it's very presumptuous of you to try to walk in anywhere with 25 people on announced. Especially if you're considering doing it on a Saturday you're absolutely need to call ahead

You can do either but without an event scheduled you may struggle to keep an area where 25 people can hang out.
