After Sam Walton's death the company no longer cares about their employees or their customers. Best to just accept that they only want our money.
Actually, they can only employ so many per shift, and when people call in, they can't always find people to cover, and so they deal with what they have. That is why they train everyone as a cashier & something else.
thats how all walmarts are. there is self check outs and express lanes. pick one
Because when it comes down to it, Walmart is a typical US Corporation. The only thing that matters to them is the bottom line. If they don't make significantly enough more money, they won't put out another cashier.
