I can't answer about the straightening process (my mother gets her hair relaxed and roller set here), but I do know that the owner/hair stylist is African but not Ethiopian. However, she may do Ethiopians' hair. Hayat is really good. She is professional, friendly, and experienced. You would do well to have your hair done here.
I have been going to see Hayat for about 2 years now. My last stylist I went to for 12 yrs, so I needed to find someone new; Hayat does a wonderful job for me every time I go. There are many different ways to " straighten " hair. Hayat would want to see you/your hair to be able specifically give you the best care for YOUR hair. She is able to assist people of any color, ethnicity, age.
