I would suggest Mcdade parks coal mine tour instead...
There is a snack stand. Plenty of trails to hike and some great views of the gorge for pictures. You pay five dollars for the pool. Everything else, but the snack stand, is free.
Fun. Swimming. Museum.
Plenty of hiking
The pool has huge water slides, and it's really nice. You pay to enter. There is a snack stand where you can purchase food. There's the museum to check out as well. Otherwise, everything else is free. You can check out the trails, the bridge over the river, the falls over the gorge. No swimming there, though, it's dangerous.
This won't fill a full day unless they like hiking too. The grounds around are nice to look at. The museum could kill an hour but overall it's fun but not the best.
There is a food stand near the pool. Museum and hiking trails.
