The meetings I attended went from 10am -1pm. The kids were only with the adults for the first hour. I actually found it kind of nice to see families connecting together. I guess "strength in the family unit" is one of their focuses and they definitely live up to it.
Each LDS church has at least 2-4 "wards" in their Church buildings. First hour is Sacrement, then Gospel Principles hour, then the men & women go to their seperate group an hour. These 3 hour blocks start at either 9am-noon or 1pm-4pm. If you're going to connect with God, you may find it challenging over some unruly children. My chronic acute migraines make fellowshipping at LDS church building impossible. I wish you & yours the best in your quest for God & fellowshipping
