Since you said birthday parties plural, I would say no. However if you wanted to entertain a group of foodie friends that enjoy the fine dining experience in an unpretentious atmosphere, then I would say yes.
Depends on your definition of "party." If you want an casual but elegant tasting dinner with (or without) a wine pairing, this is a great place, and they WILL accommodate special dietary requests, but it's not the type of place where you'd order your favorite foods and drinks and let everyone loose. Each course and wine is preceded by a verbal presentation, so it really depends on what kind of dinner you're looking for. And other than special requests, each daily menu is chef's choice.
