Building was originally a Murphys 5 and dime. It still has that traditional look (although Murphys did not have good beer....oh, or ANY beer!)

Hampden's newest restaurants, gives a nod with its name to the building's past life as a variety store. But that's about the only connection. Inside, It's been transformed into a neighborhood tavern with good food and a fun vibe.
