I would call and ask because it depends on the situation. In hoping the cat isn't outside tonight because it will be dead by morning unless it has heat. Tonight will be below freezing and I will be praying for all the lost and stray animals out there tonight. God bless for helping this poor animal.
Stellita - if you reside in a participating municipality there would be no cost to bring the cat to the shelter. You can call our intake center today when we open at 11:00 a.m. for more information. The intake center can be reached by calling 717-564-3320 ext. 112. Thanks for caring for this homeless animal, but as many other have mentioned the freezing temperatures will likely present a problem for the sweet cat. Thanks! In addition, I did just want to mention that at the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc. we do not euthanize any adoptable animal for their length of stay or for lack of space. While it is a difficult subject the term "no kill" is misleading. We do do not want to see any animal in pain suffer. The ASPCA takes a similar opinion on this policy - https://www.aspca.org/about-us/aspca-policy-and-position-statements/position-statement-euthanasia
I would rather take to ASPCA but call first. They are a not no kill . But Humana society is ok but like always call first.
