I would suggest a raft to be on the safe side, they don’t tip over and bounce off of any obstacles. Thanks for checking.
Yes as long as the kid can swim and wears a lifejacket. It is a very mild trip.
As long as children are wearing lifejackets, I think so. There was one place (in early July) where a fallen tree with a big root wad made maneuvering a bit difficult, but it wasn't dangerous or anything. If a 4 year old is in a canoe with 2 adults, you should have no problems.
I would suggest the short float if kids are floating. The long float is awesome, but it is long. Assuming adults can swim and 4 year can too (as well as a 4 year old can) i would say its safe, but always wear a life jacket! We really enjoyed our float with Old Cove. Everyone was super nice.
