We reserved a tasting, not a tour. 45 minutes or so and 4 tastings. Talk of the history of Four Roses as we tried the samples.
There is no on site bar area, so if you can't get a tour there is no way to try any of their products. So I'd recommend reservations.
Definitely make reservations if possible. They are heavily booked up right now.
You certainly should get one. You can always show up and see if they will let you in or if there’s a cancellation. But Typically these tours are pretty booked up so a tour is highly recommended in my experience.
