Is there a beach there for the kids to go swimming? Is the sand and water nice?

Yes there is a nice little beach behind the zoo, its small but nice with sand normal lake water and life Guards up until 7pm but beech doesn't close until 10

I think there is a beach near by. ..however never been in it.

It's a nice enough beach. As far as swimming, I guess it's ok, but there's a lot of living things in the water.
