I never been here before so as far as life jackets and beach toys what's allowed? Plan on coming today about 3 o'clock and is there anyrhing going on today that would stop or cause us not to swim today?

US coast guard approved PFDs are allowed in the swim area. The city has an ordinance against floats in the swim area

Life jackets and other flotation devices are not allowed in the beach.

The beach is fairly small, with a water slide, diving board, and small playground. Typically 2 lifeguards are on duty in the swimming area. I haven't seen too much they wouldn't allow, but they are concerned about safety. I know of nothing specific today that would close the beach.
