We will be passing through Pilot Mt area 10/25/19.. We have a house in Oak Island NC.and have passed by Pilot Mt. for 20+ years. Is there a parking lot in the park that will accommodate a pickup truck pulling a 22' boat.

There wouldn't be alot of room because going up the mountain and around those curves would be dangerous for you and the other automobiles . That curve is very sharp going and coming. The best thing would be for you to go and check it out for yourself. The Best park for you would be Hanging Rock they have great camp grounds and the water is a great place for your boat.

There is tons of parking. I saw rv's but no boats. My concern will be the winding up the mountain to the parking. You may want to contact park directly. I believe there was parking on the very bottom, (entrance) but then you would have an extreme amount of walking to get to top. . I did Google it, they have a website with a phone number. Good luck

The road to the upper parking lot is a bit narrow and has some interesting curves.
