Yes i agree they can actually look up the credit card purchase and pull your receipt and see what happened, you need to give them the date the charge was applied to your credit card and there should be a reference number, then they can fix it
I would take that Bill and your amount on your card and recipe of the bill and have them look at it and I'm sure they will make it right.
I would take your bill, and your card back to the specific steakhouse you went to. Ask for the manager. Show him or her the issue. They should be able to refund the extra money that was taken out. My honest opinion is that the waitress charged more either because she feels that she isn't making enough, or hopefully it was an honest mistake. I hope ot was a mistake, but to be honest, its kinda hard to mistype 40.
