My child also has peanut and tree not allergies. Although, I do not know what kind of oil Carter Mountain uses, I can tell you we've eaten them twice, two years in a row, and haven't had an issue. They also have an ingredient list on site at the window where you order and on the packaged foods. However, I must add that our drs have informed us that even if a food is fried in peanut oil, the oil is so refined that the oil itself is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.
each allergy is different. unless you are 100% sure, then my doctor says absolutely no to anything questionable, including peanut oil. the unpredictable nature of food allergies and the possibility of severe reaction should keep us all on guard. i would add that cross-contamination causes much more concern for me than the actual oil.
No peanut oil is used for the donuts
Vegetable oil
