Just hiked the trail yesterday with a group of young adults and a few older ladies. Many struggled to finish and was very tired afterwards with the inclines and declines within the trail. Wouldn't recommend for young kids even though a 7 year old could make it through, but it may not be the most enjoyable. All said, it is a very nice hike.

Not at all

I would not recommend Bottom Creek Gorge for a two or four year old. The trail climbs pretty steeply up from the creek. At an easy pace it should be okay for a seven year old. The loop is approx. three to four miles in length as well. The trails are currently set as one-way travel.
