We've had 3, yes believe it or not, 3 batteries replaced under warranty in the first 20 thousand miles on our 2012 CRV AWD LT. No questions asked though. I asked how this could happen of course, as there's no way 3 batteries could be defective. The service advisor said his best guess was this was caused by my wife's short distance driving, the GPS and its map display combined with the mid-quality battery that comes from the manufacturer. But then there was a software upgrade for the travel / entertainment unit and then then 4th battery (the original plus 3 replacements) lasted 4 years and 45,000 miles. And it's still going like that bunny in the TV ads. Suggest you drop in at Chapman and discuss options with a service advisor. They're good good guys and shoot straight. If it's out of warranty then Walmart or better, Costco will be cheaper for like quality.
Chapman is awesome and will replace a covered battery under warranty. I just had them do it for my 2015 CRV -- the warranty coverage was their idea.
I priced batteries for a honda crv the cheapest was at Walmart, but I found out Hondas warranty covered it at no cost.
Dug a little deeper, and a Honda site stated under 3 years, battery be replaced at no charge. Hopefully Chapman follows that.
100 months is over 8 years. They will prorate it. It is worth getting a price from Honda. The price from Honda should be pretty good.
I had to have AAA jumpstart me and then sell me a battery. I had no time to price compare, which is what you might consider if you have the opportunity to do so.
WalMart
Best deal is check AutoZone and then compare prices. I had same problem 4 months ago. Chapman price was 25.00 higher for same manufacturers recommendations. AutoZone has always been priced cheaper than any dealership for the same products. They also installed it free.
Call and verify prices but 99.9% of the time, the dealership is more expensive than anyone else. Especially Chapman. ðŸ˜
