Why would they allow scooters, (flailing blades, ankle choppers, but not a skate borad, much less a longboard? The tricks performed with a scooter, can have much worse results to they're surroundings.

I'm assuming It's because 1 board on the loose can take out up to 5 skaters. Scooters can't make it too far without a pilot but a board has free will and the desire to soar. Hope that was helpful.

Usually the little kids that may not appreciate skating as much are the ones with the scooters
