Is this Peking Express location owned by the same family that owned the Peking Express in Grandview? The Grandview location had to close due to a fire and my 7 year old has been devastated and patiently waiting for them to reopen.

That peking express has been there for a long time. The food and service is exactly like you would of had in Grandview. Not sure if same owners but the food was just as good as I remember it from the early 2000s. Shame to hear GV lost it, they don't have many other food options there besides fast food.

@Amanda June So was the one we had in Grandview! It had been there my whole life and now my daughter's whole life as well, until they had a fire back around Thanksgiving. We were devastated for the family that owned the business when we found out what happened and ever since have been hoping they are able to re-open and checking back periodically. We have tried going to a few other places but "they are just NOT the same Mom!" (According to my 7 year old, lol.) So when I saw that there is a restaurant in Independence with the same name and everything, I figured I might as well ask. My daughter has really missed her sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoons, and boba smoothies! 😍🥡 So thank you for answering my question so quickly! We are gonna have to jump in the car and drive out to Independence to check out the food and see if my 7 year old approves! Haha! 🙂 Thank you again!
