It's a safety concern to have the lobby open after a certain time. They serve the whole menu 24 hours per day. So you should be able to get that breakfast burrito from the drive thru before the lobby opens. I've gone thru the drive thru at 6AM and gotten breakfast. There must've been a reason for the delay THAT DAY.
I went back today just after 9. The sign was still at the speaker. The lady who gave me my food told me the change is permanent sadly. Didn't have time to ask why though.
