when is chicken Rico reopening?

Hello there! First of all, we are sorry it is taking us far longer than we hoped to reopen. We’ve found it quite difficult to navigate the proper channels through the county to get our permits for construction on the property. As soon as we do, you’ll see us working everyday you pass by the property to bring back the life and memories we cherish of the great people of Waldorf that we’ve served to for 5 years! So when will we reopen? Although we have our construction plans and our brand-new restaurant design ready on paper, we are not certain. We are looking at March 2019 for our reopening. We know these changes will be worth it in the long run, but they add time. We will use our google page more to post updates on our progress once construction begins. Also we've enabled messaging so anyone can send us a direct message through google. Hope to see you and everyone soon! Diego Sanchez

Diego Sanchez this was my favorite chicken spot and I’ve missed it for so long! Can’t wait to see it reopened hopefully soon and thank u for posting an update here. I think about Chicken RICO almost everyday and I wondered why it closed and just found out today that you guys had a fire. I’m sorry about that and I’m sure the new restaurant design will be spectacular! Can’t wait!

PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE HURRY & OPEN BACK UP, NOBIDY HAS CHICKEN LIKE CHICKEN RICO.... I'VE BEEN EATING HERE SINCE I LIVED IN HYATTSVILLE IN 2007 & IVE NEVER FOUND ANYONE WHO SEASONS THEIR FOOD THE WAY YOU GUYS DO. YOU ARE SURELY MISSED!!!

I hope will be soon. I can’t wait to get my food it’s so delicious. Compared to the other Spanish classes around here this was my #1. Miss you guys.

No one really knows. They havent posted any information. I've been waiting weeks to see if they'll possibly post something on the door to state if and when they will open again. It would be nice if they did that and better for business if they do open back up. I dunno if the place is rented in the shopping center or not but if it is, I'd suggest contacting their property management over there to see if its permanently closed.

Can we get an update on when you are reopening? I saw that they took the paper off the windows and saw them setting up (chairs up on the tables and a lit up soda machine)... my family and I are getting excited you're closer to reopening!

Mr. Sanchez tha ks for the update I always go at least 2 times a month to cisit you guys from California MD. We love the chicken and its sides.
