Is there a spot that someone who has to use a medical cart to get around can get to the falls to go swimming with the family

Not sure if it would be helpful, but there is a possible access at the DeSoto Falls Picnic Area(7 miles from main Park area of DeSoto State Park) From the parking lot of the falls, the swimming area is above dam/above the falls. There is a short boat ramp that slopes down to the water. This would be the easiest access

When we were there the water was high and right above the falls would be a dangerous place to swim. The falls area was not very wheel chair friendly...however there are places one could go and it is worth the stop..

DeSoto Falls would be ideal. It's about 7 miles north of the state park located near Mentone. Ask for directions at the Lodge.
