Some items in personnel storage can be sensitive to extreme temperature or changes in temperatures. Examples I can think of could be old video or cassette tapes, candles (yea, i know someone who has candles in storage). At certain times of the year, such as the changing of the season, the evening could have the temp in a storage area drop but then in the day, 10-12 hrs later, that storage box could heat up pretty good. Some material will expand and contract with the heating and cooling, and that could damage those items. You have to just consider your personal items and take these thoughts into consideration.
