First purchase insurance for your vehicle, then get your vehicle inspected (most mechanics shops or dealerships can do this. The cost is about 80 to 120 dollars depending on where you go.) Then bring your title, proof of insurance, and a passing inspection certificate if the inspection facility doesn't send the inspection electronically, and a completed registration application (they have the form at the MVA) to the MVA or a tag and title place. You will have to pay the registration fee and vehicle tax which depends on the value and age of your vehicle.
