You have to go to Phoenix. Im here now and there is a big sign out front stating they don't take social security card applications here.
You can't get a replacement card at this office, but the sign outside only says they don't accept applications for cards. If you happen to walk around to the other side of the sign, someone taped a crude sign the says replacement cards. But how would someone know that. And they don't even open until 9 a.m. and the nearest office is many miles away. I tried to get the reacement on line, which I was told I could do. But even after registering with them so I could get the replacement card, their website refused to "recognize" me and so I was stuck going to an office that doesn't do what I need. All in all, the SSA has been a huge disappointment and I still don't have a card.
