Depends if your a checker you have to be old enough to sell beer, but just to work their in other departments you have to be 16. Go to fiesta they hire young people.
Kroger has a good Union for the cashier's, so i think you have to be 18. I don't think they keep but one or 2 sackers at this particular store. You should look for a Brookshire's, retail store at mall or shopping center, fast food or, if you want to have a fun job while ur young, try like heck to get a job at your local movie theater
At 16 they mostly will hire u as a bagger.
In the state of Texas you can get a job.
