I was given a car without the title it was lost I have a letter from the owner saying that he gave it to me what will i need he also filled out the lost title form and the transfer form what else would i need?

You may be able to go explain that to a employer at the DMV and let them give you the exact details on what to do. I pray it all works out for you.

He will need to also sign you a power of attorney and with the duplicate title application and a copy of his Texas id you go to DMV and apply for a duplicate title.

Just go in there and ask but you have to wait in line. They will tell you what you need. Did you get a Bill of Sale with the signature?

The original owner have to sign his name and a picture ID as well

He's in jail in Mississippi right now that's why he sighed POA over to me with his jail ID that's all he has at this moment. I know the POA to transfer the title I have copies of those from the website. I sent one one to him but they wouldn't give it to him. What else can I do?
