Depends on where you get it. I know places like the spine, knuckles, elbows, or on any joint really can be quite painful. It is a little uncomfortable to get a tattoo, it kinda stings, but if you take a pain killer and put on some numbing cream on the area before getting the tattoo it won't be bad.
Tattoos can be a little uncomfortable, slightly painful, but usually can be tolerated.
