If you stay off the rides and avoid eating too much and going to the concerts, you can have an enjoyable inexpensive time. There are lots off free shows and acts as well as many different exhibits by local artists and craftsmen. The products sold are sometimes a bargain. We bought a very nice bed from a Matress Firm vendor for a great deal but we spent a good deal of time until we were satisfied with the deal we got. You can get lucky on items at below cost savings if your willing to haggle some. We usually spend on a normal trip to the fair with parking and admission around $200-$300 We've spent more at Disneyland and we have annual passes.
