Yes for reservations. The negative comments on the food are unwarranted. We have been going there since 1982 and have never had less than a stellar experience. No tex-mex. Just wonderful steak and seafood. And the best warm green salsa for chips anywhere. One of the few places in town that, although expensive, is worth what you're paying for. And don't skip dessert, whether a cajeta crepe or flaming coffee.

Yes. Get reservations! Javiers is wonderful. Our family has been going there for special occations for over 20 years. The quality of food and service is always excellant.
You might consider eating at the bar. We've come to know the staff rather well by doing so. Always a great time! And yes, reservations are necessary to avoid a long wait.
