I've been up here often. From early July to end of August it typically will be 80%-90% full wed - sun. I have never had a problem getting a site although some of them are better than others. If you're tempting or small trailer you obviously have many more options. For larger trailers or pull through sites you would want to stake claim to the 6 or so larger site early. Another cool thing about this area mini campers only stay one night. So even on a Friday or Saturday they will be people leaving that will open up opportunities for sites

We got there and got a pull through site around 1 last Saturday, there were sites available all night but the pull through sites were filled up by the time we got done at the hot springs which was around 8

We were there on the weekend after the 4th of July. There were good sites left.

We go every year and have never seen the campground full.

You should be fine. We arrived early on a Friday morning (around 9 or 10) and there were plenty of spots. You'll probably be able to get a spot but if you're coming from far away I would get there as early as you can to be able to get your pick. If it's not a holiday, that's another ball game.

I didn't have a problem. The camp spots around me filled up before sundown though.

No, unless it's a major holiday like the 4th of July, even then there are usually a few open.
