It is unlocked most Sundays for church service and church business. If there was an emergency during that time, you would not be turned away. But any other day, it is not a dependable place to go for immediate refuge because it is unknown if someone will be in the building to let you in. AFTER a tornado or weather disaster, the building may be used to serve those without homes.
It depends on if there is anyone inside, because otherwise it will be locked
This church offers shelter from the storm, but that's a spiritual metaphor. As stated by the others, unless your there between 8 and 4 on Sunday, or around 7pm on Wednesday, you will find that the doors are locked.
There is no basement.
