They most likely have a set of people who stay late to do the cleaning, the last feed, make sure to place the temperature to make it comfortable for the nighttime weather changes, and do a general check over the pets for like injuries or even depression.

They have associates that work overnight. There is never no one at the store. Only times that they do not provide service to humans.

Why not call the store and ask, may educate yourself....
That's what id like to know. There's a few that have been there a long time and it's not or any animal to be in a cage for long periods of time
