I realize it is difficult to find people to fill jobs these days. It is also true that working for Petco probably doesn't pay that well but my last few experiences in this store have been pretty poor. Just today I went there to purchase fish. I told the employee that I was going to make a selection and he disappeared. When he reappeared he was talking on his phone and pulling dead fish from the tanks. The latter gave me real pause. He pulled many many dead fish from the tanks as he talked. After about 5 mins of this I left. Fish are stressed at pet shops but some of the dead fish he pulled had obviously been in the tanks for quite a while. I also didn't appreciate him ignoring me. There are other places to buy fish where they are kept in healthier environments.
