Why must they check you Member ID just to enter the store? Very annoying to wait in line just to enter the store. They check your cart before leaving anyway. I guess they like making people feel like thieves on both the way in and out.

There are two main reason they ask for your card. 1. This is for your benefit also, so many people get into line not having or knowing where their card is, therefore being sent out of the line and to the membership desk, only to have to return back into line. 2. Only plus members can come in before 10:00, they do pay the plus premium.

You did not have to show your card until recently. I was told they went back to showing your card to cut back on shop lifting and people just showing up taste testing that aren't members. Take your pick, or make up a new reason. Either way, it can be annoying.
