Is this the Mexicali that used to be by Beltline and Garland Rd in the shopping center where Babe's is? I loved that place and then it was gone.

Address: 11277 Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75238, USA

No, not the same place. If you try this place it will definitely be your new go to spot.

Yes! It is the same. The Joshua Morales started it 30 years ago in Casa Linda with less than 10 tables. They moved to their current location about 25 years ago where brothers Chuck and Jonas did the catering. They opened the Garland location and Chuck opened a restaurant in Rockwell with a different name and menu. Joshua managed the Garland location and his son, Jeremy, and daughter in law, Ariel managed NW Hwy. They sold Garland locale several years ago. The three ran the Net Hey store until 10/19, when Joshua sold it and retired. The restaurant has the same menu, food and prices. Josphenia has worked for them since the beginning. Her daughter works there now, too. Most if the staff stayed after the sale. Go check it out, try the sour cream enchiladas!!!

Don't listen to the last person. This is the same place, same owners. They just closed the one in Garland.

The answer is yes and no. The Morales Brothers, who owned the one on Northwest Highway, opened that location and ran it for a few years using the same menu and recipes then sold it along with the name. I do not remember the time line in which that happened. However, the food wasn't as good. However, the one on Northwest Highway is well worth the drive.

Not the same place, but you should try it. You can't beat 4.99 enchilada Wednesdays, and fajitas, great food good people cold beer

I do not know. That being said, their food and service is one of the best in Dallas. When you consider their low prices, you won't go anywhere else. I love their lunch fajitas at $7.99. I feel guilty like I cheated them. But my taste buds over rule my conscience and I always go back for more.

This place is MUCH better than that place, great lunch specials. I've been Eating here for 25years!

Not sure but this place is really good

Not the same restaurant but owned by the same family. I believe the one you were referring to used to regularly have an Elvis impersonator. If so, then you will be very familiar with most of their menu items as they were very similar. Quality-wise, this location has been more consistently delicious, in my opinion.
