I know the tours are booked until the end of the year but is there an open area, like the visitor center?

Cancellations and No Shows are very rare. If we do have an opening, it is posted on the ticketing site right away. The Visitor Center is quite a distance from the Castle; you may visit to get further tour information or purchase a memento in the gift shop located in the Visitor Center, but there is no open space to visit. Ticket prices vary depending on the type of tour you are taking.

There is a visitor center. People cancel all of the time. Easy to get on a tour if you are willing to wait.
