Whether your license is out of state or not, it really won't matter because you will not get your new Social Security card the same day that you apply for it . Bring your birth certificate, marriage license and some form of proof of your current address, i.e. utility bills or some other type of government document. Then, as long as you have your social security card or know your social security number, you should be okay. They will mail the new card to your current address.
