It's sad really, it has the potential to be the best track in Indiana bar none. The holes in 1 and 3 are always developed by the end of hot laps. They brought all that clay up from the south with no idea how to prep it, and make it last all night. I really wish they would find someone to help them out, my family leased the Speedway through the 70s and has been my favorite home track all my life. Now I have not been able to get a ride last couple of years and can't seem to find a ride. But, I strongly believe that with the right prep, track could be a great track, top notch, if they knew how to make Georgia clay work in Indiana!
It's never took care of right it's always very dry and rough no matter what. When you have usac guys like robert baolu and Dave darland say the same things you know it's a prob. And this ain't just me it's every die hard dirt fan that's went to lbg sense it was a 1/4 mile. Last time that track was right was when mel Johnson and tom wick ran it. I love sprint cars but i started going to florance and brownstown and Bloomington just to see it done right. Smh... someone had to say it. Get a real dirt fan to run it and see what happens
How so?
