My children and I have been going here for years and have never had an issue
We go to this pool and park with our children during family swim times and have no concerns about safety. The park district staff are friendly and safety conscious and enforce the rules. During holidays and festivals, the park can get pretty rowdy with large private parties and we avoid going there.
I grew up in Washington Park when I was a kid I haven't been there in some time I can only tell you about Jackson Park anything you may want to know about Jackson Park I can answer
@Tashika as with any city you visit or any place within your city that you visit one must exercise some judgement. The Washington Park area is home to one of the City's most renown teaching hospital and school of higher learning...THE University of Chicago and it's hospital...it is also located in the area where President Obama's home is located Hyde Park. @Audreya I beg to differ with your answer. I am all over the City for my job...as in any city certain areas have a higher crime rate than others that generalization that "most places in Chicago now days are bad" is very offensive. Just know that bad news sell papers and make more people tune in to the news...nobody wants to hear that little Johnny comes from the ghetto but managed to get 5 scholarships to an Ivy League school what they want to hear his how many people did little Johnny shoot today? If it was as bad as you say it was then we would surely see a drop in our tourism visitors instead there is an increase of visitors.
Im not sure but most places in Chicago now days are bad
