You get 17.45 to start with plus $1.35 shift differential
Not sure about freight handler but for equipment operator the base pay is $17.45/hr. + $1.35/hr. for weekend shift differential. Add only $.35/hr. for second shift weekend 5pm-5am. Only two 20 minute breaks for the entirety of the twelve hours. They are both paid but I'm sorry that is not adequate especially when you factor in the size of the facilities. Pack a lunch I would say but that's not my idea of a lunch break. Maybe back in high school but I need at least thirty minutes to get to where I would like to go which is my car and have the option to run for a fresh meal or sit in peace and eat in my vehicle and have the potential to relax for at least a few minutes after eating before ramping right back up.
