If you are paid salary is that not a set pay no matter what? Even if you take. A day off? And especially if they don't enough work and tell you that you can't work a certain day? Arent you still supposed to get paid?

They probably break the salary down to an hourly rate. For example, if your “salary” was $40,000/yr divide that by 52 weeks in a year and then divide that by 40 hours in a week. You get $19.23 an hour. Did you get an offer letter when you started the job, or have any HR paperwork? That might have your pay rate information.

What does your employment contract say? Most likey it is a base pay and divided by 2080 hours to establish an hourly rate and you are still paid as an hourly employee.
