They go by date, not mileage. Please call them directly, or stop by the Service Department.

Jim, Thank you for the question. The battery would need to be tested with Subaru of Americas required battery testing equipment. If it fails that test and the car is under 3 years or 36,000 miles it would get replaced under warranty. Please stop in at your earliest convenience and we will be here to assist Jim.
