The extended warranty for used cars that the finance person pushes is a scam. Do not purchase it. We bought the most expensive “bumper to bumper” warranty only to have the 2 issues that have come up with the car to not be covered. They always find a way not to cover it. They wanted thousands of dollars for 2 cracked exhaust manifolds that were not covered because they don’t cover exhaust parts. They wanted $750 for a heater control valve which is covered according to the paperwork but since it has a hose attached it’s not. I fixed it for a $50 part and an hour of my day. They’ll fix the window switch with a $200 deductible. That’s a $40 part. Not worth it. Don’t do it.

Oil drain plug was torqued extremely tight. Techs used an impact to put it on. When to change the oil and had to use my largest impact to get it off. Tried using my 3/8 impact that has over 200 ft/lbs of breakaway torque and it wouldn’t break it loose even with a fully charged battery. Im surprised that they didn’t break the oil pan. l will never come back for service.

We had been working with a sales person over the phone as we live out of state and we were told that the vehicle was super clean and everything was great on it. We decided to fly in from out of state to go purchase it only to find the steering wheel adjustment electronics did not work as well as the alignment or rotors had a big issue. When you got it up to highway speeds and then break it was shaking really bad. Very big disappointment especially for flying in from out of state to pick it up. Glad we decided actually go test drive it before taking the word of the sales representative.

Diann, This will vary greatly depending on how you drive, but we usually suggest changing tires roughly every five years or so. You can assess your tire wear using the penny test. Stick a penny in the tread head first. If you can see all of President Lincoln's head, you should probably get new tires.
