If I were to get a cat, how should I proceed? I have a Drs note from my psychiatrist stating that I would benefit from an emotional support animal, a cat.

I just called today about applying for an apartment and told her that I have a support cat. You need to take in the note from your doctor and they will review it. I guess it's on a case by case basis. I have since learned that it is illegal to be denied housing if you have a support animal, as long as you have proof.
