It's because of the lights from the city. We had that same problem with a recent movie. Drive-In is fun for movies you are watching for the second time.
Great question, the best thing to do is get there early, so that you get a great spot in front of the screen. Remember, its outside not indoors with controlled pitch dark lighting. Tulsa, has improved the roads, highways and byways so with the lights in the background it can seem as though its dim, or dark. I do agree perhaps it's the projector, or a bulb issue. Regardless, it's a great experience for the whole family, including fido! Again, the surrounding light though has alot to do with it. That is why, in theaters they turn out the light during the film, otherwise we may be saying the same about indoor projections, which has not changed a thing in how it is done!
They have a light bulb out on the east side witch will effect any movie seen on that side and make it look dark. Im not sure what dide Solo was on. Im sure thise projector lightz are expensive but the darkness and the fact that my new battery went dead ruined my evening
Solo was filmed very dark. Some scenes were hard to see on an indoor screen.
